Disappointing stay: Poor comfort, safety concerns, neglected surroundings. Positive: the tiny house was clean Negative: If you value comfort, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The tiny house is poorly insulated, and we had to deal with slugs and Portuguese millipedes getting inside every night. It gets very cold at night so be prepared to run the air conditioning at full capacity to stay warm. The stairs leading up to the bed are a safety hazard. The surrounding bush is knee-high, making it uninviting to spend time outdoors, especially during peak snake season. There are no block out curtains, so you’ll be woken up at dawn, and contrary to what the accommodation listing states there is no sea view.

This tiny house is perfect for a couple staying in American River. Yes, it’s a modified caravan, but it felt roomy, well lit and is tastefully decorated & fitted out. We really enjoyed our stay!

Location, Nature, Ocean Views and a Beautiful, Clean and Cosy Vacation Home. A+++ Positive: Perfect location to explore the Island and experience nature. We could see views of Pelican Lagoon and Island Beach from the property and it was only a couple minutes down to the water where there are cafes, restaurants and an oyster farm. The house is really beautiful and has everything you need and more. Can't wait to get back here again soon.
